‘BUILDING SOMETHING BETTER’ EMBRACED BY VERDEX VOLUNTEER TEAM AS THEY PAINT FENCES TO SUPPORT NON-PROFIT, HOMESAFE
Team members from West Palm Beach-based Verdex Construction volunteered their time on Saturday, Sept. 19 to paint the interior and exterior of a 1,000 foot-long barrier wall at the new campus of HomeSafe, a Palm Beach County non-profit which provides housing and essential services for victims of child abuse and domestic violence. The new campus is located in West Palm Beach and construction is expected to be completed in early 2021.
Verdex was selected by HomeSafe to build the new campus, and its goal with the volunteer efforts is to help the non-profit reduce construction costs wherever possible so those funds can be used to support its residents. Verdex was also able to arrange the donation of paint, supplies, and manpower, provided by Jasper Painting, Sherwin-Williams, Ram Tool Construction Supply Company, and Labor For Hire/Kleaning Krew.
The new HomeSafe campus will consist of two buildings: one will add 12 new residential units with a kitchen, dining, and game rooms; the second will serve as a multi-purpose facility with an exercise room, community room, music room, computer room, and space for HomeSafe offices and administration. The 3.2 acre site will also include a basketball court, gazebo, and other amenities.
