VERDEX CONSTRUCTION BREAKS GROUND ON AIRPORT LOGISTICS PARK IN WEST PALM BEACH
West Palm Beach-based Verdex Construction has just broken ground on Airport Logistics Park, a new 245,000 sq. ft., Class A industrial warehouse project directly across from Palm Beach International Airport. Located at 350 N. Haverhill Rd., the project will sit on 39.6 acres, and is expected to be complete by summer 2020. The project was designed by C4 Architecture in Orlando for developer McCraney Property Company.
“The need for additional warehouse space is immediate as more and more consumers are having items shipped directly to their homes, and Verdex brought the ability to quickly ramp up this project to bring it online within a year,” said Verdex Construction President Rex Kirby.
This is Verdex’s second project for McCraney Property Company, having completed its Turnpike Business Park in 2016. The location of this warehouse is key, with quick access to Palm Beach International Airport, I-95, and Florida’s Turnpike.
“Demand remains strong for the greater West Palm Beach market principally due to the lack of alternative space options and the enhanced warehouse need driven by last mile delivery,” said Steven McCraney, President and CEO of McCraney Property Company. “We are building over 8 million square feet across the Southeast so it’s nice to have a new project at home, bringing jobs and warehouse space to our local community.”
Verdex Construction’s recent projects throughout South Florida include the Canopy by Hilton West Palm Beach Downtown; 1000 North, an upscale restaurant/club on the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter; Water Tower Commons apartments in the Town of Lantana; and Indigo Station apartments in Deerfield Beach.
In just five years, Verdex has earned numerous awards and prestigious industry recognition, including being named by GrowFL as a 2017 Florida “Company to Watch” and 2016 Startup Business of the Year by the South Florida Business Journal. Verdex also ranked third on South Florida Business Journal’s “Fast 50” for 2019, a list that ranks the fastest growing businesses in the tri-county region.
